Recent Thrift Haul

I'm not sure if you thrift. I was raised going to thrift stores, browsing the racks looking for gems. Over the years - some of the finds I've come home with are favorites in my closet. Typically when someone compliments my top, my response is that I found it at a thrift store.

Life has been busy and I haven't gone thrifting in awhile. Ben and I are planning on going out to pick him up some clothes, and I knew I didn't want to also shop for me at the stores we were going to for him.

If I am going to buy cheap clothes, I want them to have had a past life. But I KNEW that if I went shopping (after not having gone in forever) I was going to want ALL THE THINGS.

I was out and about running errands today and stopped by a local Volunteers of America (the one on Henderson if you're in Columbus) and this is what I came home with!

These gorgeous cotton/linen Liz Claiborne pants from the 80s (I'm assuming). They are elastic at the waste in the back, which makes them fabulously comfortable.

A beautifully simple linen Chico's dress. I'm guessing 90s. It's a color I don't normally go for, but it's good to get out of your comfort zone every once in awhile, ya? The hem is a favorite part, the front is 2 inches shorter than the back, showing off my shoes!!

Another vintage Chico's find! Black linen. It said it was a size 3. I have no idea what that means - it's definitely oversized for me - but that leaves more room to play around with styling! I love an oversized button down right now.

I also picked up a couple of small baskets. Total for the haul was less than $23! I for sure would have spent more than that on something in going out shopping for Ben and "needing" something for me.

I'm also wearing a white t-shirt from Abercrombie (5+ years old) and jeans from Agolde. Shoes are both ABLE (fair-trade and handmade). Jewelry is Noonday (of course) - the Sundial Earrings and Geo-Triangle Necklace.
