Trunk shows are the heart of Noonday. We are not in stores, so the only way to touch and feel the pieces are in what are called trunk shows. Let's talk about what exactly a trunk show means to Noonday.
Definition of a Trunk Show
According to the Oxford Dictionary, a Trunk Show is a sales event at which a particular designer or company presents their merchandise to potential customers, typically held in a clothing store or department.
What makes a Noonday Trunk Show Unique
The main difference between a traditional trunk show and a Noonday Trunk Show is where the trunk show occurs. Each Noonday Trunk show has a hostess (or host), and she/he determines where the trunk show will be.
A Noonday Trunk show could be at their home, at a coffee shop, a wine boutique, a park, online in a Facebook group, or even a video call! It all depends on the preference of the hostess, who will always receive guidance from her Noonday Ambassador that will guide the process.
What makes it a sales event?
The purpose of any trunk show is to put the fashion collection in front of potential buyers! Fashion companies roll out new collections with the seasons. Noonday is no different. Every spring and fall, Noonday launches a new collection. A trunk show gathers people to see and try on (if in-person) the new items.
There is never any pressure to buy for those who are there. Only an invitation to discover what makes Noonday so beautiful. Not only the jewelry and bags but also the stories.
What does it mean to host?
The main thing a hostess needs to do is invite! Invite friends, family, coworkers, friends from church, other soccer moms, book club buddies, even her dentist! Whoever she thinks would enjoy the opportunity to shop that season’s Noonday Collection.

Why trunk shows?
Noonday started as an adoption fundraiser in our founder’s living room as she sold jewelry from artisans in Uganda and other things she had around her home. The women she invited to support her fell in love with the artisan pieces and asked for more! A trunk show is a perfect experience to shop in a unique fashion and hear the stories of the artisans.
It’s a unique and fun party that brings people together. Our main mission is together we're building a flourishing world where women are empowered, children are cherished, people have jobs, and we are connected.
We wouldn’t be able to impact the artisan businesses that we partner with without the support of our customers, hostesses, and ambassadors.
